Home Pet Care

Puppy Visits - 40 minutes per visit; minimum of 2 visits per day but 3 recommended. Puppies need plenty of socialisation and company to prevent boredom and behavioural problems arising. They also need several small meals a day, consistent toilet training and regular access to the outside if they are to become properly house trained as quickly as possible.

Older puppies can have visits just once a day if prefered to break up their day and can have a short walk (over walking at a young age is not advised as it can put too much strain on their growing bones and lead to long term damage and problems). The time depends on age but generally 5 mins per month of age, so a four month old puppy can have 20 mins. However if your puppy is put in a crate while you are out for the day i would recommend at least two visits as two hours is the maximum recommended time to leave any age dog in a crate is two hours.

I will feed and water, cleaning up any little ‘accidents’ in the house or the lawn after their toilet, spend time playing and interacting, and give affection and reassurance. I will also reinforce basic obedience training as part of the comfort visits. I am not a professional dog trainer however and therefore will follow your instructions and do not charge for this part of the service.

Elderly or Unwell Dog Visits, If you have an elderly or unwell dog who needs some company during the day but is unable to go on a proper walk then this is the service for you. I will visit your dog in your home and give him/her plenty of love and fuss. I can administer medications, let them out for toilets needs and clean up after and give food and fresh water while you get on with your day without the worry of leaving your dog alone for too long.

Cat Care – minimum 20 minutes per visit, up to 30 minutes for 3 or more cats. Cats are known to be creatures of habit who are happiest within their own territory. They can become easily stressed if placed in an unfamiliar environment such as a cattery. By me coming to your home this stress can be totally avoided, plus you will have the extra peace of mind that I will be able to keep a daily eye on your home for you whilst you are away. Each visit lasts between twenty to forty minutes depending on the number of cats in the household and includes an overall check of your cats health status, feeding, fresh water, litter tray cleaned and any little accidents cleaned up, basic grooming, medication administered including injections and of course plenty of strokes and play time.

Small Pet Care. For all small animals kept in cages/tanks etc. Services include cleaning of home environment, fresh food and water, basic overall health check, medication administered, petting and grooming if required e.g. guinea pigs. I regret that I am unable to feed live prey such as rodents to snakes on moral grounds. As with the home cat care this service also means I will be visiting your property daily whilst you are away
